Whether you’re picking up a bat for the first time, returning to cricket after a few years away, looking for a new club, or searching for somewhere your whole family can be involved — Banyule CC would love to welcome you.
We’re a community cricket club with opportunities for boys, girls, women and men of all ages and abilities, from our youngest participants right through to senior and veterans cricket.
New players are always welcome.
JUNIOR CRICKET – BOYS & GIRLS
Junior cricket at Banyule is all about helping young players enjoy the game, develop their skills and become part of a team.
We offer a pathway from Cricket Blast through to Under 17s, with opportunities for boys and girls whether they’re completely new to cricket or have been playing for years.
Our junior teams compete in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association (DVCA), playing home and away matches against clubs across Melbourne’s north-east.
As our juniors get older, there are also opportunities to make the transition into senior cricket. Many of our older junior players play senior cricket alongside their junior commitments, subject to available places.
If your child has never played before, don’t let a lack of equipment stop them from having a go. Banyule has cricket equipment available for players who don’t yet have their own kit.
WOMEN’S & GIRLS CRICKET
We want Banyule to be a club where women and girls can play, develop and enjoy their cricket at every stage of the game.
Girls can begin their cricket journey through our junior programs, with opportunities to progress into women’s cricket as they get older.
Whether you’re an experienced cricketer, returning to the game, or thinking about playing for the very first time, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need years of cricket experience to join. Bring your enthusiasm — we’ll help with the rest.
SENIOR MEN’S CRICKET
Looking for a new cricket club? Returning to the game? Or just keen to get back out there on a Saturday?
Come and play senior cricket at Banyule.
Our senior program caters for players with a wide range of experience and ability, from established First XI cricketers through to social and developing players.
We’re always looking to welcome new players into the club, and we pride ourselves on providing opportunities for cricketers to compete, improve and enjoy being part of a team.
If you’ve recently moved to the area, haven’t played for a few seasons, or simply fancy getting back into cricket, get in touch.
VETERANS CRICKET
Still love cricket but not quite ready to hang up the whites?
Neither are we.
Veterans cricket is a great way to keep playing the game, combining competitive cricket with the social side that makes community sport so enjoyable.
Whether you’re already playing regularly or considering a comeback after some time away, Banyule’s veterans program provides another way to stay involved in the game and the club.
MORE THAN JUST CRICKET
Joining Banyule isn’t only about what happens in the middle.
Community cricket is about teammates, families, friendships and being part of a club.
From juniors taking their first wickets to senior players sharing their experience, parents helping around the club and veterans proving there’s plenty of cricket left in them, Banyule brings people together through the game we love.
And there are plenty of ways to be involved beyond playing — whether that’s coaching, helping a team, volunteering around the club or simply coming along and supporting Banyule.
