About Junior Cricket

The junior cricket pathway at Banyule CC commences with our Woolworths Junior Blaster and Master Blaster Programs  (ages 5-10) (previously Milo in2Cricket).

For all the information for our Junior and Master Blast programs please refer the drop down menu option for Woolworths Cricket Blast under Junior Cricket on our home page.

Our junior weekday club cricket program commences in the DVCA 'Non-Competitive' grades which is a competition designed for children under 10 years of age (children must have turned 8 and not yet 11 by Thursday, August 31st).

Games are played under Cricket Australia's rules for junior cricket (shortened pitches, smaller sides, etc) and are scheduled on Wednesday afternoons starting at 5pm and running until approx. 7.10pm.

We will be able to confirm training times as we appoint coaches and confirm the availability of training facilities.

Our Under 12 teams compete in the DVCA U12 Competitive Grades which are also played under Cricket Australia's newly introduced junior cricket rules. U12 teams are available for boys who have turned 10 but not yet 13 years prior to August 31st.

Training times will be confirmed by each team’s coach by mid-September.  Games are played on Friday afternoons from 5pm.

Our Under 14 teams are available for boys who have turned 12 but not yet 14 years prior to August 31st.   Training times will be confirmed by each team’s coach by mid-September.  Games are played on Friday afternoons from 5pm.

Under 16 players have turned 14 but not yet 16 years prior to August 31st. Training times will be confirmed by each team’s coach by mid-September.  Games are played on Friday afternoons from 5pm.
